Born in Hong Kong and now rooted in Perth, Western Australia, my art is shaped by a deep gratitude for this land and the second chance it has given me. The Australian landscape, with its raw beauty, vast solitude and quiet narratives, continues to inspire me and broaden my perspective. It holds meaning in every shadow and contour, yet it is the withered trees that stay with me. Weathered by time and elements, they stand with quiet dignity, embodying both fragility and fortitude, loss and endurance. This silent strength mirrors my own journey of resilience and adaptation.

 

Through clay, I translate these forms into another life. Each curve and angle is a conversation with the land, a way of preserving what might otherwise fade from sight. My sculptures honour the unseen beauty in what is thought to be forgotten, revealing hidden power in the rough and grace in the broken. They are my tribute to survival, transformation, adaptation, and the subtle bond between nature and the human spirit.
